Metta Theatre presents
ARAB NIGHTS
21 November – 1 December
at Soho Theatre

£8 tickets for A Younger Theatre readers (normally £12.50)

Shahrazad needs to survive for one more night -‐ can her stories save her?

Meet diabolical djinnis, a latter-day Sinbad and a shoe‐obsessed dictator’s wife in this collection of six new plays inspired by Arab revolutions.

From the stirring to the satirical and provocative, these stories are brought to life with Metta Theatre’s signature mix of performance, puppetry, video and original music to create an Arabian Nights for a modern age.

Writers include: playwright Hassan Abdulrazzak (Iraq); anonymous (Iran); storyteller Chirine El Ansary (Egypt); journalist Ghalia Kabbani (Syria); live artist Tania El Khoury (Lebanon); and Orwell Prize‐winning author Raja Shehadeh (Palestine).
